About the Author
Howie Good, professor emeritus of Digital Media and Journalism at SUNY New Paltz, is the author of some dozen poetry collections, including most recently Swimming in Oblivion (2022) from Redhawk Publications.
He is the winner of the Lorien Poetry Prize from Thoughtcrime Press for The Loser’s Guide to Street Fighting and the Press Americana Prize for Poetry for Dangerous Acts Starring Unstable Elements. He co-edits the journal Unbroken, dedicated to prose poetry.

Since 2017, Redhawk Publications at Catawba Valley Community College has been proud to bring distinctive voices and original books to life, with more than 200 titles published so far. We are one of only a handful of community colleges in the United States with a literary press.
