This story is for the dog lovers and for those of us who wish, hope, and want to believe that the Rainbow Bridge is real. After writing this story, inspired by two throwaway dogs who were rescued and loved unconditionally—I believe.

Billy Beasley resides in Carolina Beach, NC, with his beautiful wife Julie, and their Australian Cattle Dog, Teke, who graciously agreed to play the role of Josie in his third novel, The Girl in the River. He shares two simple beliefs with his favorite character in his first novel, The River Hideaway—Faith in God, and a conviction that ‘Hearts have no color’.
